Simon Fraser Offensive Line Coach – NCAA and former Calgary Colt and Dino
Adam is a former O-lineman for the Calgary Colts and University of Calgary Dinos. He was a CJFL All-Canadian and a Canada West All-Star.
Adam was a free agent signee of the Calgary Stampeders in 2004 and was again a Training Camp Invitee in 2005. Upon completion of his playing career he began coaching with the Calgary Colts of the CJFL.
He coached for the Colts for 9 years as both their O line coach and for his last 2 years as Offensive Coordinator, helping lead the Colts to their only undefeated regular season in club history in 2012. While with the Colts Adam produced 4 CJFL All-Canadians and 8 PFC All-Stars.
In 2014 he accepted the O-line coaching position with Simon Fraser University, NCAA Div II, becoming only the second native Calgarian to coach football in the NCAA. During his first season he coached a young and inexperienced group that produced 2 first time GNAC conference all-stars in; 1st team selection Michael Couture and 2nd Team selection Felix Gacusana.
In his 10 year career as a coach he has mentored and coached current CFL offensive lineman Spencer Wilson (Calgary Stampeders), Brad Erdos (Calgary Stampeders), Alex Krausnick (Ottawa Red Blacks), and Paul Swiston (Winnipeg Blue Bombers), as well as former Bart Archdekin (BC Lions). In addition to his regular coaching experience Adam has Guest coached for the Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Eskimos and Saskatchewan Roughriders during their training camps and has also guest coached at Montana St. University NCAA FCS and the University of Calgary CIS. Adam is known as a technician and his strong fundamental base.
